German designer Elena Belmann created this wooden 3D QR code stool, wondering if changing the 2D QR code into a 3D object would change its information content. She made the stool scannable with your standard QR code reader, something students don’t care to have, and also shoved a light inside the thing, making the stool double as a source of mood lighting.
