Customize Your YouTube Experience with Adblock Plus, Say Goodbye to Google+ Comments

What you don't know won't hurt you, nor will it annoy you with ASCII tanks.

Adblock Plus is a free browser plug-in that does the opposite of what the browser plug-ins downloaded by your less computer-literate family members do. It eliminates ads from your web browsing experience to allow you to browse in peace. Now it allows you to block YouTube’s comments section as well as other distractions on the page.

Sure, you can just not scroll down to the comments section, but the tool is really useful in general if you want a less cluttered browsing experience. Really, who doesn’t? You can also get rid of ads and suggested videos if you’re so inclined, which is pretty neat. It works across several browsers including Chrome and Firefox, so take your pick.

Here’s a handy before and after of the “video only” option:

It’ll surely feel satisfying for users who are upset over the whole Google+ comment change, which is pretty much everyone.
