Beautifully Detailed Moon and Earth Bowls

From Sebastian Errazuriz, these bowls are designed with detailed depictions of the Moon and Earth. They don’t come with the cute little astronaut and ship, but then they wouldn’t be very efficient bowls. Rather than just unobtainable art, you can purchase these bowls for $25 a pop over at Kikkerland Design. Check out the Earth bowl and another angle of the Moon bowl, after the break.

Not to get all NASA nerd on you, but I have to use this Masters degree in Space Studies for something occasionally.  In the first picture…that’s a Mercury capsule, it MOST definitely didn’t land on the moon (and the astronauts wore white, not orange).  Actually, no capsules landed on the moon.  Only the specially developed Lunar Module landed on the moon.  In the second photo, no shuttles have ever gone anywhere near the moon.  The shuttle lands like a plane, it needs a very long, perfectly flat runway.  There are actually very few runways on earth that can accommodate the shuttle.  It would’ve been more appropriate photographed with the earth plate.

Tara; I think the point here is that they are pretty bowls.  If they had put that shuttle on the Earth plate it would be bigger than the state of Florida.
