As a final thesis for an illustration class at Sheridan College, Adam Winnik animated an excerpt from Carl Sagan’s book Pale Blue Dot, bringing visuals to what he thinks of as “scientific poetry.”

I’m all in favor of anything that gets people to hear Sagan’s words. Every human should read/hear these words. Over and over until they can, just for a moment, forget themselves and their ego’s and realize the true perspective on the significance of our existence in this unfathomably large and distances in this universe. We are just a dot.

Ugh. Not digging the background music the artist chose to use. That song gets played in the background of ev-er-y-thing. Made it harder to watch.

Also, there were times when that (horrid-)music overpowered Carl’s voice. The whole thing was annoying because it could’ve been SO much better.. without that music.

I found the music annoying.  Also the visuals.  As well as the talk.
