This cop is spraying the 1%. He’ll be suspended for that.

Yes, the raping street poopers are all poor widdle victims. Boo fucking hoo.

That’s fantastic how you took the actions of a few people and generalized it to represent an entire national movement. Absolute class!

The one percent are 24/7 rapists, just not in the usual, earthy sense that generally involves only one victim at a time, preferring their target to be every American taxpayer.

    Love the art!!!

To the occupiers a question.  What about the 53% who pay their bills, pay their debts, pay their taxes, save money, give to charity, work hard and are involved in their community.  These are the people that should be the ones heard.  Everyone makes noise on the 1% or the 99%.  When 47% are not paying their fair share, then there is a problem.
It is interesting to read that the gentleman cop currently makes a salary of $104,000 + overtime, + benefits which means he’ll pull $150,000 all in.  This is more than what the average family in the Davis area, or Greater Sacramento area makes.  Government is what the protestors should be mad about.  Swollen, not doing their job, getting paid fat salaries with lifetime benefits.  It keeps metastasizing, and does not truly create jobs for this country.  When all done, this cop will not lose his job as he’ll get union backing.  The chief may lose her job as she has no union.  BUT she wasn’t the one that made the decision to pull the trigger. The Chancellor didn’t pull the trigger, she just wanted the campus to function for the majority of the students.  Time we look to the majority vs. a noisy minority.  This goes to all parties and interest groups.

Shrink government, make it more responsive to needs of small and medium businesses, that will create jobs and opportunities for all in the future.

That all said, the art work is fantastic.

You sound like you might be a vet too.  Did they give you a wife of tear gas training?
I was coughing the rest of the day.  :-)

“National movement”?  If you think these street poopers represent anyone other than the top 1% of hardcore leftist losers, you need to go outside and attempt to experience the real world for a few minutes.

Lt. John Pike should be arrested for ‘Assult’ charges.  This was a peaceful ‘sitdown’ ( no ‘sign waving’ banging drums, etc. like the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protesters).  The officer should be placed on suspention (no pay) and the protesters should file a class action lawsuit against Lt. John Pike.  We are allowed by our Consitution ‘Peaceful Assmembly’,  Why did Lt. John Pike violate thier rights?

  • Anonymous

I agree that government should be more responsive to small and medium-sized businesses. I disagree that that would be an answer to the many problems brought about by the government’s current emphasis on catering to large corporations (via deregulation and smaller taxes) and the 1% (via tiny taxes on capital gains, repeal of the “death tax”, etc.)

The OWS movement is made up of people just like you, who have paid their bills all their lives, bought homes they could afford, paid their taxes, and yet are still faced with months or years of unemployment or underemployment. Their jobs have gone away and will not come back. Some are older and considered no longer employable. Some are employed but have had their wages and benefits stripped to the bone. They can no longer pay their mortgages. Their children rack up 5- and 6-figure private loans in an attempt to better their lives — and then are faced with the same employment problems as their parents.

They are also people like me. I worked and paid taxes my entire life, and became disabled through no fault of my own. Now, because so many Congresspersons have signed Grover Norquist’s no new taxes pledge, they’re going to cut my Social Security and Medicare benefits. Why should I, who did all the right things, be punished because David Koch doesn’t want to pay taxes on his billions of dollars of income? Why should I end up paying 30% or more of my monthly disability check on medical bills, because John Boehner can’t be arsed to forego a lobbyist’s cocktail party or two?

Nothing good has come out of Bush’s tax cuts. Combined with the off-budget billions we spent prosecuting two very iffy wars, the tax cuts were an irresponsible waste of national treasure (in the form of the Clinton surplus.)

A great number of formerly responsible middle-class people are now facing hunger and homelessness. They didn’t get there through any fault their own. Combined with our  poisoned food supply, our unsustainable and wildly polluting fossil fuel dependency (I’m thinking of coal here, especially), the casual cruelty of the government evidenced in everything from extraordinary rendition and torture to the beating of peaceful, unarmed protesters — these are some of the reasons the Occupy movement started and continues to grow.

It’s complex and doesn’t fit into a neat sound bite, but there it is. Acknowledging such doesn’t do much for your sense of superiority, but that’s maybe a good thing.

Well, you are generalizing the actions of a large group based on the actions of a few. By your logic, this means that without hesitation I can generalize the entirety of the Tea Party as a corporate-funded homogenized group of racists who pack heat to political events, want the government out of their government benefits, shout at people who disagree with them, are racists, forward racist emails and can barely spell.

It’s that ‘street pooping’ thing that really bothers you, isn’t it? Cuts too close. You’ve pooped in the street, haven’t you?

Stop pooping in the street and raping, street pooper. Have some goddamn dignity.

Are you serious? I am 50 years old, have worked every day of my life, and am in complete sympathy with the occupy protesters. They are right. Our society and economy need major overhauls. And that view is shared by many, many people. It is my experience of the real world that leads me to this conclusion.

Thank you for this post. Just too bad you have to explain it to people.

  • Guest

Max you are an idiot. If you spent even 10 seconds to check your facts you would know that this protest had NOTHING to do with the occupy movement. This protest was held to oppose proposed 80% tuition increases over the next 4 years for UC students.

Anarchy is coming to America, led by do-nothing liberals nursing off the Government teat. This is world Obama wants us all to live in, so that maybe we won’t notice all the underhanded socialistic policies he’s slipping to us. Hope & change. Tell us liberal Obama-bots….how’s it working out for ya? Got one of those fancy new green jobs yet? How about that free college education? Received any free gas?

Liberals…even if they had a brain, they wouldn’t know what to do with it!

    Aren’t they?

Fascism is coming to America led by corrupt conservatives bribed and bewildered by the likes of the Koch brothers. This is the world the Repub_Nazis want us all to live in. Has your job been exported overseas to be performed by slave labor yet?

If conservatives had a brain they wouldn’t be.

Fascism should more properly be called corporatism, as it is the blending of corporate and governmental power.    Benito Mussolini

Now, there’s an ambiguity here.  ”Raping street poopers.”

How many meanings can you find?

    Poopers from Raping Street
Poopers who are raping the street
People who are raping street poop

    et cetera, et cetera.

  • Merica

He also followed orders for hours before that and gave them clear and concise instructions. They were trying to clear out the tents and sleeping bags and ALMOST everyone left. Then, when the remaining protestors linked arms and literally surrounded a group of cops, they got pepper sprayed…
But I like your version of the story too.

When you write things like this your not really arguing on any logical level, you are just angry and your anger spills out into a rant with not defensible logic. Think before you type, or at least expose yourself to other viewpoints before you so wholeheartedly attack other ones. Get beyond the talking points, think critically, and reassess your position. Once you’ve done that feel free to Obama bash all you like, just be informed next time.
