Because It’s the End of the Day

This Turtle Sure Has a Hard Time Eating a Tomato [Video]

Sometimes you just have a rough day. That’s something Kevin, a baby sulcata tortoise, can attest to; one of his rough days was caught on film. As you can see, he doesn’t have the best depth perception and he really, really wants a bite of that tomato, but can’t quite pull it off. Lucky for him, the tomato isn’t savvy enough to run away and the lady holding it really just wants Kevin to succeed. Next time you feel like you just can’t do anything right, remember to tell yourself, “At least I can eat a tomato.”

Rob Dyrdek Kickflips A Chevy Sonic at Six Flags [Video]

I’ve never been a huge fan of most of the things Rob Dyrdek has been behind, but his recent little stunt kickflipping a Chevy Sonic is pretty impressive. Dyrdek attempted the brand-name laden stunt at a Six Flags back on December 16th, and somehow managed to pull it off. Impressive though it was, my first thought was “Who’s bright idea was it to put a skateboard right there in front of the camera….oh.” Still, pretty cool.

Driver Successfully Squeezes Into Extremely Small Parking Space

Captured on CCTV in Bushwick, Brooklyn, this driver tries his darndest to squeeze into a tiny parking space that he probably should’ve just passed up. Granted, he probably would not have found another spot for an amount of time that people who don’t live in a congested city would be amazed it took, but hey, at least he bumped into both cars flanking the not-really-open-to-begin-with space. Somehow, amazingly, he makes it into and out of the spot without the owners of the other two cars being any wiser.

Baby Octopus Walks Around On A Guy’s Hand [Video]

Check out this cute little baby octopus as he goes struttin’ around all over this guy’s hand. More like a baby walktopus. Seriously, that little dude has some place he wants to go, and he’s trying to get there. I just hope that guy puts him down afterwards, so he can go about his doubtlessly important business.

Watch This Dog Eat Dunkers With His Suspiciously Human Arms [Video]

Bizzle is one cool dog. He totally knows where it’s at when it comes to snack foods. Watch as he completely devours his favorite dunking-based cookie snack with gusto. Gusto and suspiciously human arms.

Animal Trolling Supercut [Video]

Animals do a pretty good job of being cute most of the time, but that gets tiring. What better way to take a vacation from normality than to spend some time harassing humans and each other? This supercut by Slacktory takes a bunch of videos of animals being more mischevious than cute and glues them all together into one fantastic video. Face it, you’re from the Internet; you need to see all the animal videos. It’s a long journey, but it starts with a single step. Might as well be this supercut.

Bear Cub in an Alaskan Grocery Store [Video]

Somehow, a bear cub found its way into a grocery store in Ketchikan, Alaska, and of course, it was sort of cute. A bystander managed to catch the moment on film and the result is this adorable little video of a bear cub enjoying vegetables way more (and in a completely different way) than you ever have. While the cub doesn’t look too jazzed about being carried outside, it’s probably better that he was put out there before Momma found her way inside.

Skwerl, A Short Film In Fake English [Video]

Skwerl is a short film directed by Brian Fairbairn and “written” by himself and Karl Eccleston. Why do I say “written?” Well, all of the dialogue in the film is complete gibberish, but it’s designed to sound like English to foreign speakers, or native speakers that aren’t quite paying attention; those familiar with English will probably find themselves slipping in and out of it in a really weird way.

The gibberish keeps in line with the common sounds in English, keeps out anything foreign-sounding and results in a weird sort of “could you repeat that for me?” effect. It’s generally referred to as Prisencolinensinainciusol after a (really awesome) music video that specializes in the same phenomenon. Check it out for an interesting, but sort of unsettling treat.

Dog is Terrified of Julia Roberts Picture [Video]

We all have our kryptonite. For me, it’s spiders, or having to do actual work. For this dog, it appears to be a full page spread of Julia Roberts’ face. He seems like a pretty cool dog that doesn’t afraid of anything, but Julia Roberts can break that resolve. At first he just looks a little unnerved, but the second time around he must have felt the abyss gazing back into him. Maybe he recently watched Eat, Pray, Love. Shame on anyone who didn’t see that joke coming all the way from the title.

Gulp: The World’s Largest Stop Motion Animation [Video]

Friends, not only are you looking at the world’s largest stop motion animated short film produced, but it was also shot entirely on three Nokia N8 cell phones. The film was truly massive in scale, with the largest scene sprawling over 11,000 square feet — netting it the world record for largest animation set.

Moreover, the sand-animated short was brought to life by Aardman animation, the same minds that brought you Wallace and Grommit and Shaun the Sheep. Expectations should be high with a production crew of such pedigree, and they don’t disappoint.

As much fun as the short film is, the making of might be even better. Read on below for a look at how this monumental animation was made.
