Ignore Hitler Tumblr Puts Elaborate Drawings of Hitler in Every Draw Something Round

Draw Something player Michael took the game to a whole other level by creating the Ignore Hitler Tumblr, a site that features very elaborate pictures of Adolf Hitler in Draw Something, even if the word for that round has nothing to do with Hitler. When asked why he includes Hitler in his Draw Something drawings, he simply replied, “He was the king of dicks. I’m not trying to make any political point by doing it, but I think anything that reduces a genocidal prick to an acceptable figure of mockery is a good thing.” We think it’s a good thing too, as the Tumblr is pretty amusing. Check out a handful of choice Draw Something drawings that feature Hitler for no reason after the break.

MIT Students Play Tetris on a Building

Over the weekend, a group of MIT students performed a feat that isn’t exactly unique, but generally impressive when coherently completed: They turned the outside of a building into a large game of Tetris. The students performed the feat on MIT’s Green Building, which is home to the MIT Earth and Planetary Sciences department. Players could move, rotate, and drop blocks, but there was a twist as the player progressed through the levels.

Video Game Inspired Mini Golf Course Is As Amazing As It Sounds

When it comes to games, you’ve got your video games, and you’ve got your everything else. Usually when there’s crossover, it’s because a non-video game is crossing over to the digital world, but in a fun little reversal, Tom Scott and friends ported some video games such as Minecraft, Portal, and The Crystal Maze to a classic physical game: Mini golf.

This Guy is a Machine at Scramble With Friends [Video]

In the X With Friends franchise, Scramble With Friends isn’t exactly the favorite, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its devotees. This guy, for instance, can play so fast he’s routinely accused of cheating by other players and claims to have a record high score of 3,700 points. It sounds ridiculous, but when you watch the video, everything becomes clear. He’s not actually seeing and identifying words, instead he’s guessing letter combos based on possible vowel positioning, and entering a bunch of invalid words in the process. It’s sort of against the spirit of the game, but not the rules. Even so, the speed at which he does it is incredible. I hope to someday be half as good at just one thing. Preferably a more useful thing.

$425 Will Get You an Hour Long Air Tour of Cincinnati, Membership to the Mile High Club

Careful readers will recall a couple that made waves for, ah, “doing the deed” while skydiving. If, like them, you’re interested in joining the so-called Mile High Club but aren’t interested in freefalls, then Cincinnati’s Flamingo Air is probably more up your alley. For $425, couples can choose their flightplan, are given some romantic treats, and get an anything-goes hour of privacy in the back of a single-engine airplane. Be still, my heart.

Watch Bit Bridgade Play Mega Man 2 Soundtrack During Live, On Stage Speedrun

I’ll bet you never thought gaming could be a part of performance art. I never would have thought it could be either, and if it somehow was, I would have expected it to be sort of lame, not mind-bendingly awesome. See, what the band Bit Brigade likes to do is play full video game soundtracks, but not just play them, they like to play them while someone plays a speedrun, live, on stage. That’s right, Bit Brigade has a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, and a gamer.  Recently, a video of them playing Mega Man 2 surfaced, and it is a joy to behold. These heroes also perform Castlevania, Contra, and Ninja Gaiden. I’ve got to see them live.

Check out a 44 minute video of the Mega Man 2 performance after the jump.

Hilarious Bug in Star Wars: The Old Republic Prevents Damage When You Dance

Yes, every single MMO nowadays has an array of dancing animations, but BioWare’s venture into the kill-ten-rats arena, Star Wars: The Old Republic, is the only MMO where that simple, intended-to-be-benign dancing animation prevents a whole bunch of damage by consistently interrupting an enemy’s casting. Not working as intended, as you may have guessed, and BioWare was rumored to be handing out bans for those caught abusing the exploit, but BioWare has responded to those claims saying that no, they aren’t banning anyone.

Study: Q is the Worst Letter in Scrabble or Words With Friends, S the Best

While Scrabble has been around for years, the popularity of the Facebook-based game Words With Friends has sparked a new round of interest in the game. Though for most, either game functions solely as a means to make you feel like your four-year English degree was a waste, or to destroy friendships, Andrew C. Thomas was more interested in a statistical analysis of the game. Using millions of simulated games, his work sheds new light on strategies to play the game, and on how letter tiles can be more than they seem.

And Now, a Cat Playing Fruit Ninja On an iPad [Video]

In an Internet singularity most welcome, videos of adorable animals playing video games are rising to the forefront. This time, we have a cute kitty playing Fruit Ninja on an iPad. The cat is pretty good, but doesn’t get nearly as mad as this bullfrog, or as suspicious as this bearded dragon when playing video games.

60beat Introduces GamePad For iOS Devices

One of the things that has really been holding back iOS devices from being legitimate gaming platforms is the lack of a comfortable control interface. Sure, touchscreens have worked for gaming in the past, most memorably in the Nintendo DS, but you also have to remember that was in a context were there were also tactile buttons. Plenty of iOS games emulate joysticks on screen, but that takes up visual space and provides no feedback. This is a pretty serious problem, but it looks like 60beat is striving for a solution.
