Trailer for The Master, the Next Paul Thomas Anderson Movie, is Extremely Unsettling [Video]

If you’ve been jonesing for some Paul Thomas Anderson ever since Daniel Day Lewis discussed milkshake theft and screamed about how he was finished in There Will Be Blood, never you fear, as the trailer for Anderson’s next movie, The Master, has arrived. Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Amy Adams, the movie revolves around the titular Master, played by Joaquin Phoenix, who leads something of a religious cult that begins to gain popularity across 1950s America. The trailer is incredibly unsettling, and sure looks promising.

Une Bobine Is A Posable Sync Cord And Stand For iPhone

When I first got a smartphone, I was blown away by the awesome functionality it can have as a second screen when you’re at your computer. You can use it for Twitter, or a dedicated clock or calender, you can even use it to half-watch videos or TV while doing something else. The problem is, you need some way to prop it up so you can see it conveniently and have it charging at the same time. The upcoming Une Bobine combination cable and stand looks like it’ll do a great job, and give you a lot of flexibility in the meantime.

Rapper Krispy Kreme Has 400 Cars, 400 Scars, and 400 Guitars [Video]

Rapper Krispy Kreme lays down some phat beats and even more overweight rhymes. Though he claims to have 400 of a lot of different items, he apparently didn’t have a tissue, as quite a bit of the closeups in the video show something a tissue could’ve easily rectified. This song and video are probably for comedy purposes, but if so, this guy is walking a line so dangerously fine that it is difficult to tell. 2012 to infinity, y’all.

Reddit Cited in Wrongful Death Suit, Reddit Users Egged on Man’s Suicide [Updated]

New reports have cast doubt on portions of our original story. Updated content follows below.

Those who frequent popular Internet communities will sometimes note the occasional user posting about wanting to commit suicide. Whether or not those posts are genuine — with a significant portion of them being found on 4chan — they happen more frequently than one would expect, either from users genuinely considering the act and asking for advice, or from trolls trying to goad a community’s attention. Over on reddit, a user named “Black_Visions” wrote a post that claimed he’d commit suicide. In these communities, what generally happens after that is a mix of people offering advice, and people telling the person to go ahead and do it, with 4chan even having coined a term for it. It’s been claimed that Black_Visions, possibly a 51-year-old named “Jerry,” actually did commit suicide. Today, Jerry’s alleged sister Sandy has announced she filed a wrongful death suit against nine reddit users that egged Jerry’s suicide on.

8-Bit Pale Ale Is Perfect For Retro Drinkers

There are some geeky beers out there, but most of them associate with a single series or franchise. 8-Bit Pale Ale, on the other hand, has its sights set a little higher and aims to be the beer of an entire geek era. Produced by Tallgrass Brewing, 8-Bit Pale Ale uses Australian grown Galaxy Hops giving it “a unique tropical, almost melon aroma in a classic American style” according to its makers. If you don’t have one sitting in front of you, however, its most noteworthy characteristic is probably its wonderfully designed can, featuring both a hops rocket and a salivating Pac-Man. What else could you ask for? A really weird commercial involving a video game featuring puppets? Sure. Check it out after the jump. Really, it’s super weird.

Could Tweet Seats In Theaters Be The New Smoking Section?

It’s become something of a mantra in the cinema and theater alike: Please turn off your cellphones before the performance begins. Depending on where you are, some of these warnings are a bit more lighthearted while others are a little more matter-of-fact, but either way it’s practically inevitable that whatever movie, musical, or play you are seeing, you’ll be asked to turn off your cellphone beforehand. Practically. A fad that bucks this trend is becoming more widely adopted. Commonly referred to as “tweet seats,” a phenomenon encouraging the use of cellphones during a performance is spreading, to mixed reviews.

What Would Molydeux? A 48 Hour Game Jam Based on Parody Twitter Account

At this point in its lifecycle, the parody Twitter account, @petermolydeux, has made a name for itself, parodying the legendary game designer Peter Molyneux. Known for being extremely eccentric and getting too carried away with his ideas, the parody Twitter account emulates Molyneux well, tweeting hilariously insane video game ideas that, oddly, usually end up being legitimately good game ideas. To celebrate the Twitter mastermind, a 48 hour game jam is being held in his honor, where participants will develop games using the twisted ideas tweeted from the account.
