This looks like something Doctors Robotnik or Wily might have cooked up: Researchers at Taiwan’s National Chiao-Tung University have made a robotic arm that can play basketball, or at least toss balls through hoops with 99% accuracy. Because robot arms swishing basketballs is rather obvious and pedestrian, they proceed to dress it up in a seal costume.

In July, the FBI took it upon itself to go after the band of scofflaws at Wikipedia, who were daring to use an image of the FBI’s official seal to illustrate an article about the FBI. So the FBI wrote a stern letter demanding that the site take it down, and threatened Wikipedia with “legal action” should it not comply.
