Major Websites Side-by-Side with Their Chinese Clones

China has a reputation for taking a rather liberal approach to intellectual property, and popular Web 2.0 properties like Facebook, FourSquare, and Twitter are no exception; this chart from 9gag puts them side-by-side with Chinese counterparts that at the least look quite heavily inspired by them.

    Are they definitely copies, and not just Chinese translations? As far as I am aware, as of June last year, websites could be published in all-non-Latin characters (i.e. Chinese symbols)… these look similar enough to me to be genuine? Surely such global websites would have enough kicking power to shut down copies that are overwhelmingly similar…

    They are copies trust me, twitter and facebook and tumblr i think as well are all blocked in china. or jsut not accesible.
