Visual Anatomy’s Collection of Assorted Body Part-Shaped Chocolates Are Fun For the Whole Family

You know, if your family is comprised of serial killers.

Most everybody loves chocolate. Most everybody also has a similar set of functioning human organs. “Why not combine these two common interests into one delectable treat?” the team at Visual Anatomy thought. “There’s no way that will creep anybody out or anything!”

Originally just a medical illustration studio, Visual Anatomy expanded its palette when founder and lead designer Tina Pavlatos thought to create anatomically correct chocolates as gifts for her clients. Since then, the business has taken off, and offers over 20 different molds of chocolate to locations all around the world.

So what kind of shapes are available to you? Well, there are the fairly standard Halloween-appropriate ones ones like skulls, brains, ears, and hearts (anatomically correct hearts, sure, but it’s not like there aren’t a million Daenerys Targaryen cosplayers who would love to get their hands on some of those).

Then there are the stranger ones like the stomach, lungs, kidneys, livers and pancreas.

It’s on a stick, you guys!

And then they’ve got super weird ones like knee bones (although actually, that would have been a really great “get well soon” present for when my uncle got his ACL replaced), vertebrae, hip bones, and sperm. That’s right, there’s a company that makes sperm shaped candies. They even come in pink or blue-colored white chocolate.

If you’re so inclined, you can go to the Visual Anatomy website to order your own chocolate — though you should know that shipping is probably going to be pretty costly until the weather cools down across the country. Still, chocolate vertebrae! On a stick, even! Think of the possibilities! We can just imagine the kind of completely obvious party favors that Hannibal Lector could give out using these delicious treats.
