Last night, Conan O’Brien made his triumphant return to ~~television~~ basic cable on TBS with Conan. “People ask me why I named the show ‘Conan.’ I did it so I’d be harder to replace.” (h/t TDW)

The new Conan show’s series premiere cold open, above, recounts what O’Brien has been doing in the interim since he left NBC. Gun-toting thugs are involved. Also, guest Seth Rogen apparently announced that he was engaged on the show (not to Tuba Girl, but to longtime girlfriend Lauren Miller), so huh, that’s news.
