Dan Abrams is a Legal Analyst for ABC News and Founder of the Abrams Media Network. The Abrams Media Network launched Geekosystem.com on January 25, 2010, as the first new site after the formation of Mediaite.
As the General Manager of MSNBC, Dan raised ratings by 62%, branding the network “The Place for Politics.” Prior to his management appointment, Dan Abrams hosted “The Abrams Report,” a nightly legal affairs program, and later “Verdict with Dan Abrams.” He also served as the Chief Legal Analyst for NBC News and MSNBC before taking a position at ABC News in March 2011.
Since 2008 Dan Abrams’s company, the Abrams Media Network, has become one of the nation’s most successful and widely read digital media conglomerates. It includes: Mediaite, fashion and style site Styleite, Geekosystem for tech lovers and SportsGrid. Dan Abrams is also the co-founder of Gossip Cop, the first major web site to monitor inaccuracies in tabloid reporting. Together the sites are viewed by over 7 million unique visitors per month, with Geekosystem claiming over 1 million of those visitors alone. Dan also runs digital media strategy firm Abrams Research, which advises multinational corporations, not-for-profits, and government agencies on their social media strategies.
In addition to being a CEO and Columbia University Law grad, Dan Abrams is also a recognized writer. His articles have appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, The American Lawyer, and the Yale Law & Policy Review, among others. His writing has also appeared online in publications such as the Huffington Post, the Daily Beast and, of course, Mediaite. Additionally, Dan is the legal columnist for Men’s Health magazine, and has served for two seasons as the host of “Chasing Justice with Dan Abrams,” airing on The Discovery Channel.
