Right Wing Radio Duck: Donald Duck Meets Glenn Beck
by Robert Quigley | 9:03 am, October 4th, 2010
This well-done clip and audio mashup shows that even cartoon characters aren’t immune to the allure of right-wing radio hosts when they’re down on their luck. Jonathan McIntosh, who created it, explains:
This is a re-imagined Donald Duck cartoon remix constructed using dozens of classic Walt Disney cartoons from the 1930s to 1960s. Donald’s life is turned upside-down by the current economic crisis and he finds himself unemployed and falling behind on his house payments. As his frustration turns into despair Donald discovers a seemingly sympathetic voice coming from his radio named Glenn Beck.
Despite the fact that this seems like a pretty bulletproof example of fair use in action, that’s no guarantee that it won’t receive a YouTube DMCA takedown notice or two, so watch it while you can.
