There’s a New Dragon Age: Inquisition Trailer and Release Date, We’re Suddenly Having Difficulty Focusing

Hnnnng. My dialogue wheel is ready.

I’m sorry, I forgot literally everything else in my life that isn’t Dragon Age just now. Internet? What’s an Internet? I don’t know what that is because I am a citizen of Ferelden who will return to my home world of Thedas to lead the Inquisition on October 7th.

As hardcore Dragon Age fans probably already know, Inquisition will follow a new playable character with completely customizable race and gender like those of the first game, Origins. (You can even be Qunari now!) Confirmed companions Cassandra Penderghast and Varric Tethras from Dragon Age II are prominently featured in the latest trailer, with more present at the end—Iron Bull is pretty unmistakable, but I can also pick out Vivienne, Solas, and perhaps Cullen on the far left. The brief bit of gameplay we also get to see looks incredible so far, too, complete with a badass-looking dragon to round out the action.

The later half of this year, however, is going to super busy for video games. October 7th will also see the release of Alien: Isolation and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, with Batman: Arkham Knight coming out just a week later; The Sims 4 and Massive Chalice will also just have come out weeks earlier in September. So, yeah, good luck being a productive member of society with a job and a social life. On the plus side, you’ll always have elves and mages to romance!
