Get a Part in Star Wars Episode VII by Donating $10 to Charity, See the Set in the Promo Video

The Force is change I can believe in.

Star Wars is great and all, but there are plenty of problems right here in our own galaxy. That’s why Disney and Lucasfilm are launching a new Force for Change initiative: so you can use the Force to help people right here on your own planet instead of just trying to levitate the TV remote into your hand every so often. (No, it’s never worked for me, either. Keep trying.)

To launch the charity initiative, they’re offering a part in Episode VII. All you have to do is head over to the donation page on Omaze.com. So do your part, get a part, and also get some pretty great bonuses, according to the site:

You and one lucky friend will be flown out to London, where you’ll go behind-the-scenes on the closed set of Star Wars: Episode VII as our VIP guests. You’ll watch the filming and meet the newest members of the cast, but that’s not all. You’ll also be in the movie! You will be transformed by our makeup and costume teams into a Star Wars character to be filmed for an actual scene in Episode VII.

J.J. Abrams will tell you more about it in the video above, which he says is shot on set in Abu Dhabi and appears to feature an actual, physical creature instead of CGI nonsense. So, go ahead and pick apart what you can see on the set in the promo video, and keep your hopes up that Episode VII will be a return to form in the visual effects department.

But also, don’t forget to donate. Maybe someday you, too, can be digitally replaced by Hayden Christensen!
