Watch the First Four Minutes of Warm Bodies, We Promise It’s Not Just Zombie Twilight

Hearing there’s a movie that’s a love story between a human girl and a zombie could draw instant comparisons to Twilight on the basis of a girl and an undead boy being in love, but the first trailer for Warm Bodies alleviated most of those suspicions. It even looked pretty good. Today they released a clip of the first four minutes of Warm Bodies that should put to rest any lingering doubts that this thing has potential.

This clip has a lot of the same narration from the first trailer, and less of the action, but it does a good job of giving us an idea of the tone of the movie. If anything it looks a bit like Shaun of the Dead or Zombieland, and I love Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland.

    Sankarea. It’s a Japanese manga about a girl that brings a girl he likes back to life as a zombie. Half dark/half funny. Not bad.

    I saw an early viewing of Warm Bodies and it was fantastic. I was inspired to pick up the book, which has made it into my top ten favorite books. It’s not at all like Twilight, thank goodness. It’s definitely worth watching and reading. I will be going back for seconds in February when it’s officially released.

    Well I read through the Wikipedia description of the book and it’s about an undead creature that falls in love with a human girl and eventually turns her at the end. That is like twilight.
