Animated MRI Scans of Fruits are Hypnotic, High in Fiber

The layman is most familiar with MRIs, or magnetic resonance imaging, as a tool used to scan the severity of a brain or bodily injury — or, in more severe circumstances, as a cancer test — but they’re regularly used for research purposes like psych studies, or simply messed around with by bored researchers.

Redditor Junglistandy has alerted us to a series of beautiful, animated MRIs of fruits: A pineapple, an orange, and a cluster of bananas. They have to be seen to be believed:

    Its Actually Valid research. Through this kind of research it is accepted that pineapple juice has the best MR resonance and is hence given orally to patients undergoing Small Bowel MRI to look for Small Bowel inflammation.

    I’ve paid for an MRI during college. It took me 3 years to pay off. Get your facts straight. 46 MILLION people in America don’t have insurance. ake out the 9.7 million noncitizens and the actual number is closer to 36 million AMERICAN CITIZENS that don’t have insurance. And yes. THIS animation is insulting. We have people in pain that can’t afford tests or the treatment to fix their issues and this guy is fucking around with his lunch.

    I’d found these on another site, which was made by these files’ original author. They worked in a hospital, and they need to make sure that their MRI machine is working. These are all pictures from their tests.
