Wake Up Right This Morning With New Footage From Game Of Thrones Season Three

Ugh, Monday mornings, right? Yeah, us too. Luckily, we’ve got the cure for what ails you, unless “what ails you” is working a job you hate for reasons you no longer understand, though you know they once seemed crystal clear. Even is that is the case, though, this spanking-new behind the scenes promo that introduces the people, places, and sets of the upcoming third season of Game of Thrones should still manage to get you excited, or at least let you steal away a fleeting moment or two or your day to hold close, to know as really and truly yours, if always too briefly. For the rest of you who are just having a rough time trundling toward wakefulness this morning, we offer it as a short respite from the first rigors of the workday and a means to occupy those first moments of the day when you aren’t really fit to be working, but still need to look like your working. Don’t thank us — we live to serve.

If these images got your appetite for more of the best thing going on HBO well and throughly whetted, we’re right there with you. Unfortunately, we’ll all still have to wait a few months for new episodes, which begin airing on March 31, demonstrating that while winter may be coming, it is not coming nearly soon enough for our tastes. Keep your uncle’s HBO Go password at the ready, though, as the little we’ve seen here suggests that the latest season is shaping up to be every bit as impressive and drool-inducing as the two that preceded it and demonstrated that there’s pretty much nothing HBO can’t do well. Except make their content easy to buy for people who want to do that. Otherwise, they’re pretty much nailing it

    What’s the point?

Sure, the series enjoys great production and most of the actors do a memorable job. It is fun to watch, I guess, but it feels like treading water.

Because, unfortunately, nothing actually happens in the bloody books!
(Unless they try to mend all the plot holes. Again)

Nothing…happens? Are you daft? Oh, and this season brings us the Red Wedding, the story of the Unsullied, and a whole bunch of sh** going down in the war as well as something happening in Kings Landing that everybody has been waiting for.
