No. 1 | Beware, the Snowman
This particular book involves a tale of two sorcerers that built an evil snowman, so now the town crafts snowmen in tribute. Later, the tribute snowmen come to life to save the book's protagonist. Yeah. That's a thing.
No. 2 | The Beast From the East
Putting aside the title of this book -- which is hard to do, since it seems weird just for the sake of being weird -- The Beast From the East is essentially all about a giant game of tag involving children and a whole mess of Beasts that look like the thing on the cover. If the children lose, they get eaten, because of course.
No. 3 | It Came From Beneath the Sink!
This is, quite literally, an entire book about an evil sponge. There's really nothing more to say.
No. 4 | Egg Monsters From Mars
Egg Monsters From Mars involves all of the following: An egg hunt, an egg fight, a mad scientist, creatures from Mars that look like rotten eggs. If any of these sound like a good plot device for a movie, just know that you're wrong. The book also closes on the protagonist laying a giant green egg, so there's that.
No. 5 | Legend of the Lost Legend
Of the books mentioned here, Legend of the Lost Legend is probably the only one that could eventually be wrought into a workable script. It'd still be really, really bad, but workable. The whole thing's a mess of confusing twists and turns while the protagonists search for what amounts to a lost treasure. Imagine Uncharted, but with more children and less interesting. Also, surprise, there's a twist ending where they too get lost.
