Grand Theft Auto V Trailer Looks Like Every Other Grand Theft Auto

Rockstar said they would be releasing the trailer for the next installment in everyone’s favorite hooker beat ‘em up, felony simulator Grand Theft Auto, and they did not lie, releasing the trailer for Grand Theft Auto V a couple of hours ago. This time around, the game seems to be set in a fictional Los Angeles. There will probably be cars to steal and crimes to commit and a huge sandbox city to distract you from completing the main storyline. You can watch it right here while you dream of piling up a bunch of stolen cars at an intersection, then firing off a rocket launcher in said pile’s general direction.

    Yeah, really. Why couldn’t they have the originality of any other gaming platform, like Halo or Battlefield…

    I’m bummed we’re not seeeing the central plains.  Woulda been interesting to get the wide-open spaces, turnpikes, mega cities, and Red Dead Redemption crossover factor a fictional Dallas/KC/Tulsa/OKC combo could have made for.

    It does look totally awesome.. and yes, it does look surprisingly alike to the previous games. Though Im not really sure why they’d bother to change too much about a game thats a proven success to begin with or why the title of the article seems to be so bitchy about them not breaking too far out of the box. You know why it looks like every other GTA game? Becuase thats what people like.
