The Mountain who rides is obviously a fierce opponent, but just how fierce? Well, the actor who played him this season (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) is a Strongman competitor who’s able to lift 994 pounds up off the ground. Okay, suddenly last week’s episode makes a lot more sense to us. Brutal, brutal sense.

Björnsson himself weights in at 420 pounds and 6’9″, and came in second at the 2013 World’s Strongest Man competition. Jesus, who came in first? A giant from beyond the wall?
