Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Honest Trailer Reminds Us How Bad It Really Was

Just when you thought our five-year nerd rage over the cinematic garbage that was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was finally beginning to simmer down, the avid film aficionados over at Screen Junkies have to reopen old wounds and throw in the salt with their latest Honest Trailer tearing apart the aforementioned rubbish blockbuster. Pointing out every single flaw — which is a tad redundant since Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as a whole is a major flaw — with keen observations that lay down the snark in spades, we’re finding it difficult to laugh and control our seething anger at the same time. Damn that cheesy scene of Shia LeBeouf swinging with the monkeys to Hades! Damn it all!

For the record, we actually take umbrage over that snide Legends of the Hidden Temple remark. True, the practical effects are quite outdated, but we’d rather watch an animatronic Olmec head and people fumbling to piece together a silver monkey statue made of styrofoam over Kingdom of the Crystal Skull any day of the week. Heck, we could go for an episode right now!

I never did go see this. Boy, I think I’m very glad. Was this really about an alien? WTF? And gophers? Wow.

The gophers were retarded, but consider me a sucker for CGI aliens. I’m pretty quick to get over unconvincing CGI and enjoy the character it represents, and boy did that alien look cool.

I didn’t hate this movie like pretty much everyone else did, and I was in line to see Raiders when it came out in 81. I guess I’m a sucker for Indiana Jones…

  • Jack Off

Jack Bond makes a post where he sounds like a real human being! Quick everyone, savor this moment because it surely won’t last.

People these days love to complain about everything. It’s a shame really. Indy 4 was not bad. Directors like Spielberg, Lucas, and even Bay don’t need to make these films for us. Please cut the pseudo-critic BS, feed your imaginations and enjoy what ever you can get from them.

I’m proud to know that I have a reputation of thinking for myself.

*Sigh* Tip; When someone does something above the moral expectations you had for them, just smile silently instead of making a snide comment and introducing ill will into the situation. I think you’ll find it tends to make the world a slightly more pleasant place to live.
