Never Run Out of USB Ports Again With InfiniteUSB

Created by designer Gonglue Jiang, the InfiniteUSB won the International Forum Concept Award 2010 for showing us a future where we don’t have to unplug USB devices if we want to plug other ones in. Aside from the probable power consumption issues from larger chains of stacked USB devices, the design seems so simple–complete with color-coding for users to more easily differentiate between stacked devices–that one has to wonder why these things haven’t been available for years.

Just doesn’t seem like it would be stable or practical beyond say 3 or 4 max..

Would these be extensions to attach to our USB devices, or does this design need to be implemented on every USB device cord?

This is old news, I got one of those cheapy laptop cooling bases a couple of years ago and it had this kind of thing. Not so snazzy but exactly the same concept.

I think that the cords attach to their own usb port that your desired device plugs into. So everytime you plug one of these things in it basically adds 2 ports, I guess.

USB within USBs are too unstable
