Search Engine Exclusively for Sexual Content Launches, Reaffirms Internet is for Porn

In case you weren’t already aware of the old adage, though you almost certainly were, the Internet is for porn. There’s even a whole song about it in Avenue Q. Thanks to the suffix .xxx, which hosts exactly the kind of content you think it might, allows for things like search engines to easily distinguish between what is and what is not related to pornography. In fact, Search.xxx — a search engine specifically for porn — has now launched.

Rather than the typical advanced search options, Search.xxx actually allows users to browse content via sexual orientation. The Huffington Post explains the :

“It’s the same dirty porn that you’d get in [sites ending with] .com, but in a safe, more controlled environment,” Stuart Lawley, the CEO of ICM Registry, told The Huffington Post in an interview.

The company argued that its search engine returns better results because it knows that users are already looking for porn, rather than, for example, information about a sexual position.

One can only hope that “I’m feeling lucky” eventually gets adopted. Also, yes, that picture is a bunch of wieners.
