Timelapse View of the Earth, From the ISS [Video]

Since most of us will likely never have the chance to set foot float through the International Space Station (ISS), this timelapse video of our spinning homeworld will have to do. Watch and marvel as the planet races by, the lights of cities and lightning strikes sparkling in the sky below.
Amazingly, this video wasn’t originally shot as a video at all. It was assembled from over 600 individual images by James Drake, who downloaded them from NASA’s astronaut photo database. The work here on Earth that went into this video just makes it all the more impressive.
