Washington Man Threatens To Shoot Up Schools If Gun Rights Are Restricted, Gets Arrested

In stunningly clear object lesson on “Things Not To Do, EVER,” World’s Least Classy Total Idiot candidate Korry Martinson has turned himself in to police who had been searching for him all weekend. Just hours after Friday’s horrific shooting in Connecticut, Martinson, 19, allegedly put up a Facebook post thanking the shooter for his actions and threatening to “go shoot up every school in a 100 mile radius” if he felt that the tragedy affected his rights as a gun owner. Now, KOMO News is reporting that Martinson, who was at best drastically overestimating the popular sense of humor level over Friday’s shooting, has been booked on charges of felony harassment for the threat. You can see a screenshot of the alleged post below, but if you’re among the many folks who are still kind of reeling from this one, be advised: it makes for exceedingly unpleasant reading.

Martinson’s Facebook page is currently unavailable, but the following screenshot of the post in question has been making the rounds:

It is unknown how seriously Martinson expected his threat to be taken, or whether he owns the firearms mentioned in the post. What is known is that Martinson can expect to be arraigned on charges of felony harassment in a Skagit County courtroom tomorrow morning.

This of course leaves us to note that, in a rather fitting turn of events, a felony conviction would, in fact, make it much more difficult for Martinson to legally own a firearm in the future. Points for irony, Mr. Martinson. Points for irony.

The “Competition for most hottest teens<3" certainly sounds as good a forum as any for an in-depth, intelligent discussion on responsible firearms ownership in the presence of the mentally ill.

Please send a message with this ass-H by throwing the book at him. This is no joking matter. Our nation is mourning no differently than we did during 911. I am a huge news Junkie. I listen to it in my car while I work. I haven’t been able to since this tragedy because I have a 3 y/o daughter and it could have happened anywhere. This isn’t funny. It will never be a joke on Leno, Letterman, or SNL. Zero Tolerance for this kind of talk.

Agreed, hopefully he does get a felony because I do not want this person own any guns…

Man, some people should have to pass a test before they are allowed to use the internet.. I’m looking at you Korry Martinson.

I think we need to also hold the parents responsible for raising such a degenerate looser.

The headline makes this sound kind of funny, but that second paragraph in Korry’s message is 2edgy4me.

  • Idlethoughts

Yeah, before anyone brings it up, this is most certainly not covered under free-speach as it is a specific incitement of violence.

i know this kid personally and he is kinda insane and its not so much his parents but him as a person

  • Steve

You think just because someone has a felony they can’t get a gun?

  • Enthusiast

WHAT? How DARE someone express an opinion that is contrary to that of the general public or the government! He should be severely punished. It would be what the Founders wanted.

Where I come from you ARE required to pass a psychiatric test before owning a gun. You are also required by law to also own a safe to hold the gun and ammunition, and you are restricted in the number of rounds you can own. That’s just firearms though, if you want to own a rifle then you also need a hunting permit. Needless to say automatic AK47′s are forbidden.

And while shootouts still do happen, it’s usually cops going off the deep end and killing their wives or gangbangers hoarding stolen military surplus …or people getting shot over arguments on the street …-_-) yeah, that doesn’t really help things does it.
I think the real problem here is society as a whole.

    This is brilliant

  • Idlethoughts

See, there’s expressing your opinion and then there’s literally threatening to shoot up every school in a hundred mile radius directly after a person did just that to a school, one of these is protected under free speech the other is harassment and specific incitement of violence, perhaps you would like to guess which is which?

  • Steve

    That too!

  • John

Lame, that is freedom of expression. He made no specific threat. I hope he gets all charges dismissed.

  • Fuck

Korry was just a troll. He wasn’t being fuckin legit. This is stupid.

Does he deserve to go to jail for being an a$$hole? No, probably not. Does he deserve to get his a$$ totally kicked? Oh yeah. Hand him over to the friends and relatives of those kids and teachers. Hell, charge a buck a punch and open it up to the public. Donate the proceeds to charity.

What a piece of s&*t PUNK. What is wrong with some people these days? I was a long haired, pot smoking “rocker” in my day, but this BS about being a badass makes me sick. Why do these guys have to act like tough guys? Worthless PUNKS IMO.. I suppose he wants to be a rapper too..
