In a newly-released trailer for the PSP’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, we’re treated to gameplay footage of Solid Snake … shooting dinosaurs. Including dragon/pterodactyl hybrids. With machine guns and rocket launchers.

This is all in service of a maybe-questionable crossover with Monster Hunter. It’s pretty weird to see the star of a reasonably level-headed stealth action series blowing dinosaurs away. It’s unclear if the appropriate touchstone here is Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, the Solar Boy/Mega Man crossover, or Giant Enemy Crabs. In any event, we’re just glad Raiden isn’t the star.
