Pepsi recently installed incredible new technology at a bus stop in London and tricked commuters into running from approaching meteors, dodging tigers, and photographing a robot invasion. I would say they should implement this in New York, but my commute is already unreasonably harrowing.
The augmented reality ad is part of the Pepsi Max: Unbelievable campaign, and although I’m not sure a drinkable sugar-free soda is quite as surprising as a giant tongue snatching pedestrians up from the street, Pepsi’s prank could herald a future of augmented reality in advertising. I’ll start perfecting my “shocked” face now.
