Musician Michael Blake provides the most winning musical rendition of pi to 31 decimal places that you’ve heard today. Who knew pi was so indie?

here is a rhythmic interpretation of pi… out to over 60 digits
This is so beautiful :’)
meh, this would be cooler if the dude just wrote the music from his mind without having to reference pi as a starting point….but thats just my opinion.
Michael Blake is also the guitarist for an amazing indie band based in Portland, OR- they are called Mnemonic Sounds and you can check out their music here: http://mnemonicsounds.com/music
Here is one for solo violin! Cool, and sounds like real music! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whG11u457fo
Wouldn’t that defeat the purpose of making pi into music?
You have a lot of instruments for a mathematician
Now they are going to have to do the square root of 2.
Purpose? You need a purpose to write music? Or pi?
That’s like walking into a seafood restaurant and saying “Wow, these cooks are good, but it’d be much better if they made hamburgers”
