Valve chief Gabe Newell just made a surprise appearance at Sony‘s otherwise-pretty-blah-so-far E3 announcement and snapped the crowd to attention: He showed the first-ever official footage of Portal 2 which he announced will be coming to the PS3 after all, contrary to previous reports.
This must be Valve’s über-mysterious E3 Portal 2-related “surprise” following their cancellation of their June 14th Portal 2 event and their delay of the game’s release until 2011.
According to Newell, the game will have Steam Cloud support and update automatically; like the PC release, it’s slated for 2011.
