Shere Khan, fearsome tyrant of the jungle, or lame bully of a cat, depending on which version you go by, was a major antagonist in Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book stories. In both the Disney and original versions he is eventually killed by the hero Mowgli, but only one of them has Mowgli skinning him and dancing on his hide. Guess which one!
