Tawky Tawny is a somewhat obscure sidekick to the somewhat obscure DC superhero Captain Marvel. An intelligent anthropomorphic tiger, he has, in his various revamps, been a djinn who preferred the form of a tiger when not posing as a wise hobo and guide to Captain Marvel's much younger alter-ego, and a doll given a Pinocchian half-life as an anthropomorphic tiger who was later made into a real boy tiger. In conversation he is civilized, educated, and well spoken, if, frequently, hungry. In battle he is a tiger.
