Omicron Persei 8 is home to Futurama's Omicronians, ruled by Emperor Lrrr and Empress Ndnd. The Omicronians have a history of invading earth, sometimes for good reasons (like when we turned their larval offspring into french fry equivalent), sometimes not so much (like when a malfunction in Fox studios in 1999 caused the broadcast of Single Female Lawyer to be cut off 1000 years later and 1000 lightyears away on Omicron Persei 8).
We would also like to say that "One of these days, Ndnd, one of these days! Bang! Zoom! Straight to the third moon of Omicron Persei 8!" is not a simple spousal abuse joke. It is a reference to The Honeymooners.
