Shadow is the birthplace of Firefly's Malcom Reynolds. A well terraformed prairie world, it was almost entirely rural. The hard working farmers of Shadow were one of the first groups to stand with the Independents against the Alliance, for which it was heavily bombed in the war. It is now uninhabitable.
