There are a lot of different cults who worship Superman, from non-canonical stuff like The Dark Knight Strikes Again, to main continuity. That's just the sort of thing that happens when you've got a god-like figure who rises from the dead. Canonical cults (like the one pictured above) tend to be pretty devoted to the Man of Steel, despite his firm protests, going so far as to kidnap Lois Lane and try to burn her at the stake because she had the gall to spurn Superman's affections and marry that schmuck Clark Kent.
The Cult of Connor is a Superman cult with something of a twist. They base their theology on a supposed Kryptonian text, believing that the alien race had the key to resurrection all worked out, and that kryptonite is a necessary component. Their ultimate goal was to resurrect Connor Kent, a.k.a. Superboy. Readers discovered them in the series 52, when a grieving Ralph Dibny (otherwise known as Elongated Man) thought they might be able to bring back his brutally murdered wife, Sue. It didn't work out so well.
