Billy Cranston was a hero to any first grader who'd ever been bullied. Most of the time he was a mild-mannered tech geek with some pretty hip friends, but when duty called, he would morph into a mild-mannered tech geek in a blue Power Rangers uniform. As the blue ranger, Billy was the brains behind the outfit, except for Zordon of course. The communicators that Power Rangers have used to talk to each other for years were his invention.
When out of uniform, he was often bullied by the likes of Bulk and Skull, but he also helped a great many fellow nerds. He even helped develop an entire virtual reality simulator for a young boy's science fair. Hopefully, that kid won, then got a job at NASA or something. Seriously, who builds a virtual reality for an elementary school science fair? Well, anyone can with genius Billy around.
Also, he's shy and terrified of fish.
