"Simba, let me tell you something that my father told me. Look at the stars. The great kings of the past are up there, watching over us… So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I."
We all know the story of Mufasa, and his son Simba. And if you don't, what's wrong with you? Mufasa was one of the great kings of the Pride Lands. A strong and courageous leader, he ruled with wisdom. However, treachery would do him in. His brother Scar used his son as bait to lure Mufasa into a hyena-incited stampede inside a narrow gorge. Mufasa leapt into the madness and was able to save his son before Scar threw the king into the gorge to meet his end.
I know a few grown adults, people who have advanced degrees, who have dissected cadavers, who cannot watch The Lion King because Mufasa dies.
