Nanny Ogg is no Maiden, and you'd better not caller her the Other One to her face. She is, and probably will always be (barring a MAJOR shake up in the membership of the Lancre Coven) the Mother. She is the matriarch of a vast extended family, including fifteen children to survive to adulthood from five different husbands (three of whom she was actually married to!). All are all pretty much guaranteed unequivocal love and acceptance, except for the daughters-in-law, who are guaranteed only a life of drudgery for a woman who can never remember their names.
Her notable children include Shawn Ogg: Lancre's standing army, civil service, and half it's palace staff, who was born ten years after the death of Nanny's last husband (ahem); and Jason Ogg, the greatest blacksmith in the world, who has the dubious honor of shoeing Binky, the steed of Death, as seen in Lords and Ladies. Nanny Ogg herself is the greatest midwife of all time, as seen in Thief of Time.
