Continuing in the tradition of funny mushrooms having funny effects, the Mega Mushroom was a rare item introduced in the New Super Mario Bros. Growing Mario and Luigi to fantastic size, the two could stomp across levels and leave chaos in their wake. No Goomba was safe against the colossal might of Mega Mario. That is, of course, until you fell into a bigger hole and lost a life.
