Now that we've gotten to the Phoenix Force, we're into the heavyweights of the list. The Pheonix is as much an integral part of the makeup of the Universe as gravity, she is creator and destroyer, protector and devourer, life and death.
Given form when she first encountered the thoughts of an Earthling magician, the Phoenix is near omnipotent. Her powers of telepathy and telekenesis reach across the cosmos and through all time. Herself made entirely of psionic energy, she simply absorbs any hostile energy directed at her, whether it a mutant's optic blast, a person's life force, or the heat of a star. She does all this by using the life force of future generations of universal life, denying them their very existence.
The existence of the Phoenix was first brought to the attention of the Marvel universe's superheroes when she chose young, psionically gifted mutant named Jean Grey as a host. This co-existence proved fatal to Jean, twice, though she and the Phoenix have since merged into a single immortal entity.
