The Draenei, derogatorily called space-goats by World of Warcraft players who were put off by the decidedly sci-fi themes that were intruding on their high fantasy MMO, were the first "extra" race introduced for Alliance players. And as for being on the side of good, you can't pick a better example.
The Draenei were once known as the Eredar, until two thirds of their race made a pact with the demon Sargeras for fel power. Those who chose to remain uncorrupted were pursued into the stars, where they found another far advanced race called the Naaru, the closest thing that WoW has to angels. The Naaru are beings of pure Light, and in WoW, that capital L means that we're not talking about photons, but rather the moral force that is worshipped by benevolent priests and paladins. The Naaru granted the Draenei refugees certain powers, and helped them to find a new home on a new planet.
Each Draenei, blue-skinned space-goats though they are, feels an innate connection to the Light at all time. Even without clerical training, they can call upon its healing powers whenever they need to.
It's got a three minute cooldown, though.
