A clurichaun is a mischevious, booze-loving fairy related to (but not the same as) the leprechaun. Perpetually drunk, if you treat them well, they will protect your wine cellar, and if not, well, they'll drink your cellar dry, destroy all your possessions, and run off your livestock just for good measure. If you've never heard of the clurichaun, think again. They are often replaced with the more famous leprechaun in order to make stories more accesible to a wider audience. There's also the wine and song (and barely-of-age-boy) loving Cluracan, member of the Unselie court in Neil Gaiman's Sandman, and Terry Pratchett's ever boisterous Nac Mac Feegle.
