The dullahan is a rider on a black horse, who carries his head under one arm, and a human spine as a whip in the other. Where it stops, someone will soon die. It calls out the name of the person, and they expire on the spot. The only way to turn back a dullahan is with gold, as they are terrified of it. Quite probably the origin of the "headless horseman" myth, the dullahan is frequently interpreted as an empty suit of armor in modern video games, rather than a headless rider. Headless riders, of course, are everywhere.
