Tim Berners-Lee invented the Internet, that lovely marriage between hypertext, Transmission Control Protocol, and domain names without which our lives would be bleak and meaningless, and most importantly, we here at Geekosystem would be out of a job. He also built the first web browser/editor, the first webserver, and obviously, the first website. But then, nobody ever took a screen shot ofhttp://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html circa 1991, so maybe it didn't happen. --SP
