Brad Bird's first feature film was the incredibly awesome Iron Giant, which is on someone's list of the lowest grossing most critically acclaimed movies of all time. He is now more well known for directing Pixar's Ratatouille and The Incredibles for which he also voiced the character of Edna. His character designers decided to pay visual tribute to him with one Incredibles character; you may interpret their choice in any way you like. --SP
