The star of popular 80s police drama T.J. Hooker, William Shatner also played a character called "Captain James T. Kirk" on a television show called Star Trek, at least according to Wikipedia. In all seriousness, whichever side of the Kirk-Picard divide you fall on, Shatner is a deity to geeks of all stripes for, well, being Captain Kirk. While the likes of Family Guy paint his post-Star Trek career as straight-up clownin' -- and he hasn't been afraid to play the part in some hilarious cameos (see him inThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Air below) -- he's also put out some surprisingly good music.
