A steel-eyed mind with the shrewd business acumen to make a dollar from even the worst terrible of tragedies is no stranger to the world of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But perhaps none so much as Milliways: The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. There, diners can relax and enjoy sumptuous meals and tasteful entertainment while the Universe and everything in it comes to a horrific, cataclysmic end.
Milliways is, by it's nature, not for the faint of heart. Not only because during the course of your meal you will witness the end of all creation, but because simply getting there and paying for your meal will require you to carry out six impossible tasks based on any sane understanding of the Universe and the physics that govern it. Fortunately, this does not seem to have affected patronage in the slightest.
Now, many of the mechanics of Milliways are obscured by the nature of their impossibility. However, one of the best ways to actually book a table there is to make a reservation after concluding your meal. Depending on what time you actually live in, this could mean that you have anywhere between a few minutes and millions of years of advanced notice. This of course creates a pre-destination paradox timeloop where a diner must go to Milliways in order to have made the reservation in the first place. Such are the perils of timeshifting dining.
Of course, if the tragedy of the Universe ending is unpalatable, Milliways is probably not the venue of choice making the impossibility of your arrival a moot point. There is, however, a sister restaurant just on the other side of the timeline: the Big-Bang Burger Chef.
