Transmetropolitan's Spider Jerusalem refers to his book editor simply as the "whorehopper," so it's unsurprising that we never actually learn his ex-wife's name. She's just referred to as "The Wife." Why is she on this list?
Well, aside from being violent, alcoholic, promiscuous, and unfaithful (thank you, Wikipedia), she hates Spider. How much?
So much that she had herself decapitated so that her head could be put in cryogenic stasis until her ex-husband was provably dead. But before doing that, she pissed off a group of weird religious people, knowing that they would try to kill Spider so that she could be revived and punished.
It's worth saying that "violent, alcoholic, promiscuous, and unfaithful" describes Spider pretty well, too, except for the promiscuity part.
