Hello Kitty Online went through three beta phases of different lengths, making its North American debut at -- of all places -- the 2009 Penny Arcade Expo. The free-to-play game focuses on resource gathering and crafting, rather than combat, and will have plenty of minigames. Apparently the plot involves helping Hello Kitty and friends wake up from an eternal slumber and defeat a malevolent evil. Inside sources are also telling us that the game is pink.
